Pokhara to Dubai Flight Information
Flying is the only way to get from Pokhara to Dubai. There is no road or rail route between Nepal and the United Arab Emirates, and the non-stop flight covers the distance in around 4 hours 50 minutes.
flydubai operates one non-stop flight a day between Pokhara International Airport and Dubai International Airport Terminal 3, and the flight is also sold under an Emirates flight number through a codeshare. flydubai is the first UAE airline to fly directly to Pokhara, and the route is its second destination in Nepal after Kathmandu, where it has flown for 17 years. Since opening on 1 January 2023, Pokhara International Airport has largely handled domestic flights, so the route gives travellers in Pokhara and Gandaki Province a direct international link for the first time.
Compare the direct flight against connections through Kathmandu and book your Pokhara to Dubai ticket on Trip Turbo. Your e-ticket arrives by email as soon as payment is confirmed.
Is There a Direct Flight from Pokhara to Dubai?
Yes. flydubai operates a non-stop flight from Pokhara to Dubai every day. Until 24 October 2026 it departs at 19:15 as FZ1166, and from 25 October 2026 it departs at 20:35 as FZ1242. Flight time is around 4 hours 50 minutes.
It is the only direct flight on the route, so there is no second non-stop airline to compare against. The alternative is a domestic flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu followed by an international flight to Dubai. Once the domestic fare is added, that route is not reliably cheaper than the direct flight, and it takes most of a day. The comparison is set out below.
How to Book Pokhara to Dubai Flight Ticket on Trip Turbo?
Booking an international flight on Trip Turbo takes a few minutes. Have your passport and UAE visa details ready before you start.
- Go to tripturbo.com and open the Int'l Flights tab.
- Select One Way or Round Trip, then set your nationality and cabin class.
- Enter "Pokhara (PHH)" as the departure city and "Dubai (DXB)" as the destination.
- Choose your travel date and the number of passengers.
- Click Search.
- Use the Non-Stop filter to see the direct flydubai flight only, or leave it off to compare connections through Kathmandu. Sort by Cheapest or Fastest.

- Choose your fare option. Each fare shows its cancellation rules, date change rules and checked baggage allowance.
- Click Book Flight to hold your seat. A countdown timer shows how long the fare is reserved.
- Enter passenger details exactly as they appear on the passport you will use at check-in.
- Select your document type, enter the passport number and expiry date, and upload a clear scan or photo of it.
- Review the price summary, which shows the base fare, taxes, TT Coins earned and any convenience fee.
- Choose a payment method and click Pay Now.
- Trip Turbo accepts Digital Wallets, ConnectIPS, Mobile Banking and Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay and American Express cards. Your e-ticket is emailed to you as soon as payment is confirmed.
Tip: The payment method you choose affects the final amount, as mobile banking carried a lower processing fee than international cards and digital wallets at the time of writing. Check that the name on your ticket matches your travel document exactly, because bookings cannot be amended after confirmation and a cancellation fee applies if you need to rebook.
Pokhara to Dubai Airfare and Flight Details
Flights from Pokhara to Dubai depart from Pokhara International Airport (PHH) and land at Dubai International Airport (DXB), Terminal 3. Seven non-stop flights operate each week, one a day with flydubai.

December is the one expensive month. It coincides with the UAE school winter break and the Christmas and New Year holidays, when demand on Gulf routes peaks. Dashain and Tihar fall in October and early November in 2026, and those months are among the cheapest on the route.
If you are returning to Pokhara, book both legs in a single round-trip transaction. From October onwards the lowest return fare is well below the price of two one-way tickets, and it keeps the whole journey under one booking reference.
Fares verified on 22 September 2026. Fares change daily and are subject to availability at the time of booking.
Fare Options on Trip Turbo
Trip Turbo shows you every fare option an airline sells on a flight, which most local online travel agencies in Nepal do not. Instead of a single price, you see the full set of branded fares side by side before you pay.
They are the same flight, the same aircraft and the same seat. What changes are the conditions attached to the ticket: how much it costs to cancel, how much it costs to move your travel date, and how much checked baggage is included. A cheaper fare usually comes with stricter rules, while a higher one buys flexibility and extra baggage. Each option lays out those conditions clearly at the point of selection, so you are never guessing what you have paid for.
This makes it easier to choose the right fare for your Pokhara to Dubai flight, rather than discovering the rules after you have already booked.
Flight Details for Pokhara to Dubai

The flight number and departure time change on 25 October 2026 when the winter schedule begins. The flight time stays at around 4 hours 50 minutes either side of that date. If you are booking a return, the Dubai to Pokhara flight departs at 12:00 as FZ1165 until 24 October, and at 13:35 as FZ1241 from 25 October.
Why the arrival time looks wrong. Nepal is 1 hour 45 minutes ahead of the UAE. FZ1166 shows 19:15 to 22:20, which reads as 3 hours 5 minutes on the clock, but the actual flight is 4 hours 50 minutes. Add 1 hour 45 minutes to the clock difference on this route.
Book several weeks ahead for the lowest fares, and arrive at the airport three hours before departure. International check-in, immigration and security screening take longer than the domestic flights most Pokhara travellers are used to.
Pokhara to Dubai Flight Connectivity
Non-stop gets you there in around 4 hours 50 minutes, every evening, with one check-in and one security process.
Via Kathmandu means a domestic flight of about 25 to 30 minutes to Kathmandu, a transfer between the domestic and international terminals at Tribhuvan International Airport, then a flight of around 5 hours to Dubai with flydubai, Himalaya Airlines or Nepal Airlines. With connection time included, most of these journeys take the better part of a day.

Once the domestic fare is added, the Kathmandu route is not reliably cheaper than the direct flight, so compare the combined total against the direct fare for your date.
Two tickets means no protection. A domestic flight and an international flight are usually booked as separate tickets. If the Pokhara flight is delayed and you miss the Dubai connection, neither airline is obliged to rebook you. If you connect through Kathmandu, allow several hours between flights.
Pokhara to Dubai Flights Fare
Direct fares start from Rs. 47,232 one way in economy, and the lowest return fare from October is Rs. 77,526. December is the exception, with one-way fares from Rs. 80,634.
Checking a few neighbouring dates before you book is worth the extra minute, since fares on a single-airline route can move sharply as seats sell. Baggage also affects the total: the cheapest Lite fare includes no checked bag, so compare the fare plus baggage rather than the headline price alone.
How to Check Your Pokhara to Dubai Flight Status
For live availability, search your exact travel date on Trip Turbo. For same-day flight status, use flydubai's flight status page with your flight number. Dubai International Airport also publishes live arrival information on its website.
Airlines Flying from Pokhara to Dubai
One airline flies this route non-stop. Travellers who want other airlines can connect through Kathmandu.
flydubai Pokhara to Dubai Flights
flydubai operates the only non-stop flight, daily on a Boeing 737, and is the first UAE airline to fly directly to Pokhara. The flight is also sold under an Emirates flight number through a codeshare, and it uses Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, which gives easy access to Emirates' onward network.
flydubai sells the route in tiered fares that differ in baggage and flexibility rather than in the seat:
- Lite is the cheapest fare, with hand baggage only and no free checked bag.
- Value adds 20 kg of checked baggage.
- Flex adds 30 kg of checked baggage and easier date changes.
- Business includes 40 kg of checked baggage and the most flexible change and cancellation terms.
Other Airlines Flying from Pokhara to Dubai
No other airline flies Pokhara to Dubai non-stop. To fly with a different airline you need to connect through Kathmandu: a domestic flight with Buddha Air, Yeti Airlines or Shree Airlines to Kathmandu, then a non-stop flight to Dubai with flydubai, Himalaya Airlines or Nepal Airlines.
Full details of the Kathmandu flights are in our Kathmandu to Dubai guide.
Pokhara to Dubai Airport Information
Flights on this route depart from Pokhara International Airport and arrive at Terminal 3, Dubai International Airport.
Pokhara International Airport Facilities
Pokhara International Airport is Nepal's third international airport and opened on 1 January 2023. It lies at Chhinedanda, about 5 km southeast of Pokhara and a 10 to 15 minute drive from the city centre. flydubai operates from the airport's international terminal. Banking and currency exchange services are available inside the terminal building, and Pokhara Metropolitan City runs a free shuttle bus between Amarsingh and the airport.
Dubai International Airport Facilities
Dubai International Airport is the world's busiest airport by international passenger traffic. Terminal 3, where this flight arrives, offers duty-free shopping, restaurants, lounges, free wifi, currency exchange, ATMs and prayer rooms. The Airport Terminal 3 metro station can be reached directly from the arrivals area, and the taxi stand is just outside.
Departure Process at Pokhara International Airport
Arrive at least three hours before departure. Complete check-in with flydubai, then clear Nepal departure immigration, where officers check your passport, UAE visa and boarding pass, followed by security screening before the departure lounge. Airlines check that you hold a valid UAE visa at the counter and will refuse boarding without one.
Arrival and Onward Connections at Dubai International Airport
On arrival at Terminal 3, proceed to UAE immigration, where your passport and visa are checked. Collect your checked baggage, then pass through customs into the arrivals hall. The flight lands at 22:20, or at 23:40 from 25 October. The Dubai Metro stops running around midnight on most days, so after the later arrival a taxi or ride-hailing service is the practical option. Taxis operate around the clock.
Terminal 3 is the Emirates hub, with connections to more than 140 destinations in 76 countries. Travellers from Pokhara heading to Europe, Australia or the United States can connect onward in Dubai on a single ticket. If you are connecting, check whether your baggage is checked through to your final destination. Passengers travelling on two separate bookings must clear immigration and customs first, then check in again, so allow at least four hours between flights.

Baggage Information
Every flydubai fare includes hand baggage, but checked baggage depends on the fare you choose, and the cheapest fare includes none. Carry a valid passport and UAE visa with you at all times and arrive at the airport three hours before departure.
How much baggage can I carry on my Pokhara to Dubai flight?
In Economy, you can carry one handbag of up to 7 kg, measuring no more than 55 x 38 x 20 cm, plus a small personal item. Business Class allows two handbags totalling 14 kg. Checked baggage ranges from none on a Lite fare to 40 kg in Business.
flydubai Baggage Information
flydubai checked baggage by fare type:
| Fare Class |
Free Check-in Baggage Allowance |
| Lite |
None included |
| Value |
20 kg |
| Flex |
30 kg |
| Business |
40 kg |
No single checked bag may weigh more than 32 kg. Allowances can vary, so confirm the figure shown on your booking.
Baggage Allowance on Connecting Airlines
If you connect through Kathmandu on separate tickets, each ticket carries its own allowance. Some domestic fare classes between Pokhara and Kathmandu include only 15 kg of checked baggage, so a bag that fits your international allowance may still be charged excess on the domestic flight. Check the allowance on both tickets before you pack.
Which Airline Offers the Best Baggage Value
On the direct flight, the choice is between flydubai's fare types. If you are carrying a suitcase, compare the Value fare, which includes 20 kg, against a Lite fare plus a baggage allowance added before you fly. Adding baggage online in advance is usually cheaper than paying at the airport counter.
For a longer stay, which is common on this route, the Flex fare at 30 kg or Business at 40 kg can work out cheaper than paying for extra weight separately. Work out your total weight before you book rather than at check-in.
Security Check-in
The following items are not permitted in cabin baggage on international flights:
- Knives, scissors and any sharp or bladed object
- Firearms, ammunition and imitation weapons
- Explosives, fireworks and flammable liquids or gases
- Liquids, gels and aerosols in containers of 100 ml or less, which must be carried in a single transparent resealable bag
- Containers larger than 100 ml, which must go in checked luggage
- Tools such as hammers, drills and wrenches
- Sporting equipment including bats, clubs and cues
- Corrosive or toxic substances
Power banks and spare lithium batteries must be carried in hand baggage only and must never be packed in checked luggage.
The 100 ml liquid rule applies to international flights and does not apply to domestic Nepali routes, so pack accordingly if you usually fly within Nepal.
Documents Required for Pokhara to Dubai Flight
A passport is mandatory for every passenger on this route regardless of age, and a UAE visa must be approved before you fly. Airlines check both at the counter and will refuse boarding without them.
Documents Required for Nepali Adults
Nepali adult passengers must carry all of the following:
- A valid passport with at least six months' validity from the date of entry into the UAE
- An approved UAE visa
- A confirmed return or onward flight ticket
- Proof of accommodation and sufficient funds, if requested by immigration
Make sure the name on your booking matches your passport exactly, or you may be refused at check-in.
Documents Required for Children
Children travelling to Dubai must carry all of the following:
- A valid passport with at least six months' validity
- An approved UAE visa in their own name
- A confirmed flight ticket, and consent documents where a child travels without both parents
Documents Required for Infants
Infants must carry all of the following:
- A valid passport
- An approved UAE visa in their own name
- A confirmed flight booking issued in the infant's name
Confirm infant travel requirements with flydubai before departure.
UAE Visa Requirements for Nepali Travellers
Nepali citizens need a UAE visa, arranged before travel. There is no visa-free entry and no visa on arrival for Nepali passport holders. The visa type depends on the purpose of your visit, and applications are made through a UAE sponsor such as an airline, a hotel or a licensed travel agency. flydubai's selected Travel Shops can help with UAE visa applications, and details are on flydubai's visas and passports page.
A police clearance certificate is now required. After the UAE briefly suspended visit and work visas for Nepali citizens following the Gen Z protests in September 2025, it introduced a requirement for all Nepali applicants to submit a police clearance certificate issued by Nepal Police. The certificate must also be attested by the UAE Embassy. Applications without a properly attested certificate are likely to be rejected, so obtain it before you apply and allow at least two weeks for the whole process.
A visit visa application generally also requires a scanned passport bio page, a recent passport photo, your flight itinerary, and proof of accommodation or an invitation from a host in the UAE. Entry requirements can change, so confirm the current position with the UAE Embassy in Kathmandu or your sponsor before you book.
Travelling to Dubai for Work
The UAE is one of the largest destinations for Nepali migrant workers. According to the Department of Foreign Employment, nearly 40 percent of labour approvals in the last fiscal year were for the UAE.
A visit visa does not permit you to work in the UAE. Employment requires a work visa arranged by your employer before you travel, plus a labour permit (Shram Swikriti) issued by Nepal's Department of Foreign Employment. The police clearance certificate requirement applies to work visas as well as visit visas.
Use only a DoFE-licensed recruitment agency, and confirm your documents with the Department of Foreign Employment before booking a one-way ticket on the strength of a job offer alone. The Embassy of Nepal in Abu Dhabi can assist Nepali citizens once they are in the UAE.
Places to Visit in Pokhara
Pokhara is built around Phewa Lake, with the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre visible from the water on a clear day. Sarangkot is the classic sunrise viewpoint over the Himalaya, and the World Peace Pagoda sits on the ridge above the lake. Places to Visit in Dubai

Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residence are the places for a waterfront walk and a beach day, and Palm Jumeirah holds resorts and Atlantis. For an older side of the city, the Gold and Spice Souks in Deira and the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood are worth an evening.

Weather in Dubai
Dubai has a hot desert climate. From June to September daytime temperatures regularly exceed 40 degrees Celsius, with high humidity near the coast. From November to March temperatures are far more comfortable, typically in the mid-20s to low 30s Celsius, which makes those the best months for sightseeing and outdoor activities.
About Pokhara
Pokhara is Nepal's second-largest city and its tourism capital. Set beside Phewa Lake beneath the Annapurna range, it is the gateway to some of Nepal's most popular treks and the country's centre for paragliding and lakeside tourism. With the opening of Pokhara International Airport, it is now also an international gateway in its own right.
Best Time to Fly Pokhara
The most comfortable months to fly are October to November and March to April, when skies are clear and mountain views are at their best. The monsoon months from June to September bring heavy rain and cloud, which cause more frequent delays.
